Terms of Use

Effective October 7, 2026

These terms cover your use of FreeUp for iPhone. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. We've kept them short and plain.

Apple's standard license applies

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms add to that agreement. If the two ever conflict, Apple's standard EULA wins.

Free to use

The app is free to download and use. Sorting your photos by swiping has no daily limit and doesn't require a purchase.

Optional purchases and tips

  • In-app purchases. Some extra features may be offered as optional in-app purchases. The price is shown before you buy. A purchase that is described as a one-time purchase is not a subscription and does not renew.
  • Tips. Tips are optional payments to support the app. A tip doesn't unlock any feature.
  • Payments and refunds. All payments are processed by Apple under the App Store's terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Restoring. Tips can't be restored, because they don't unlock anything. If the app offers a one-time purchase in the future, you'll be able to restore it on a new iPhone signed in with the same Apple Account.

Deleting photos is your decision

The app helps you choose photos and videos to delete, but you make every decision. Nothing is deleted until you confirm, and iOS asks you to confirm again.

Deleted items go to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where they stay for 30 days. During that time you can recover them from the Photos app. After 30 days, or if you empty Recently Deleted yourself, iOS removes them permanently and they can't be recovered by us or by the app.

If you use iCloud Photos, deleting an item on your iPhone also deletes it from iCloud and your other devices that use the same Apple Account.

Please keep a backup of anything you can't afford to lose.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or that it will always work as you expect.

We are not responsible for photos, videos or other data that you delete using the app, including items removed from Recently Deleted after 30 days. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of data or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be limited.

Fair use

Please use the app only for lawful purposes and only with photos and videos you have the right to manage. Don't try to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms from time to time. When we change the terms, we'll update the effective date above. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Privacy

How the app handles data is described in our Privacy Policy.
